Dear Spencer,
I just wanted to let you know that we will miss you so much. As you look down from heaven you are probably wondering why we are all so sad. After all, you are now in heaven with the Jesus and know what a wonderful place it is – just like the Bible promised. Well, it’s probably because we won’t get to make any new memories with you. There are so many that I thought I would remind you of a few.
How about the time you came over to the house when I was watching a Dallas Cowboys game that I had recorded with the DVR. You looked at the TV so puzzled because the game was still on and finally you said “Mr. Magee, I’ve already seen this game and I can tell you what happens…”. After I interrupted you so that you would not tell me the ending, you continued by saying “But Mr. Magee, but Mr. Magee, you don’t understand, you don’t understand … I’ve seen this game !!!”. Finally, I had to send you and Andrew outside to play so that I could see the Cowboys lose on my own, ha !
Remember all of the basketball games that we played over at the house. You were such a strong little boy and would get down on the block and just push on me. Your strength and stature resulted in you being nicknamed “The Fire Hydrant” because when you would block me out for a rebound your little bottom would hit me right in the knees and I would stop in my tracks – just like running into a fire hydrant.
Oh, how your daddy and I looked forward to teaching you boys the game of basketball and having many long nights of games. I even installed the halogen lights this summer so that darkness would not be an excuse for ending a game prematurely. We envisioned many Magee vs. Squire three-on-three tournaments in our future. Oh the fun we would have had. We will probably still play our fair share of games and enjoy talking about how you would have won the game with a key steal or a big time shot.
My favorite memory is probably the game that you and Andrew invented called “Charge the Mount (Mound)”. Remember, it was the game where one was the pitcher and one was the batter and the pitcher would pretend to throw at the batter just so the batter could charge the mount and wrestle with the pitcher. Oh how you two loved to just wrestle. I will never forget how you guys would roll around in the backyard just laughing and giggling and playing your games.
We will all miss you but I think Andrew will miss you the most. He loved you like a brother and will have a hard time replacing his best buddy. Friends like you don’t come around very often.
Thanks for the memories.
Sincerely,
Mr. Magee

You ask why? and there is no answer. Why God's timetable to create an angel can cause so much pain back here on earth. Pat, Anna, Ryan - we are praying for you, for strength, for peace in your heart, and knowing that Spencer is peacefully looking down on you all the time. We hope you feel the love and prayers from us and all those who care so much about you during this very difficult time.
God Bless Little Spencer.

We are so sorry and we have been remembering you in our prayers since Shawn told us of this. Shawn told us you were strong Christians and the Lord and His love for you will see you through this. May God continue to take care of you and comfort you in a way man cannot. Zack's grandparents

I know there is nothing I can say to make the pain go away. Spencer will always be remembered as such a special, wonderful little boy and friend to many. The legacy he leaves us is an outpouring of love and kindness. Thank you for choosing to share his life with others through transplants. One day, Jared, may be the recipient of a heart transplant as he has gone through many open heart surgeries since he was only two weeks old. Your compassion and love is greatly appreciated.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Anna, Pat and Ryan
We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family throughout this very difficult time.
Unfortunatley it is times like these that make you stop your busy daily routine and truly appreciate and love your own kids a little more then you already do. The spilling of the milk on the new carpet and the breaking of the window with an over throw doesn't seem so bad.
Hopefully everyone will hug their loved ones a little longer and just enjoy their company a little more in honor of Spencer.
Love Ronnie, Julie, Kellianne, Joseph and Maggie

Anna, Patrick, and Ryan,
Words cannot even begin to express our sorrow for the loss of your beautiful son Spencer. Spencer in his six short years, managed to touch the lives of so many people. I will always remember his mischievious grin, sparkling personality and twinkle in eyes. Hayden was truly blessed to have Spencer in her preschool class at CRCDS. She truly enjoyed having Spencer as her friend. Please know that all of you are in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. If there is anything we can do for you, please do not hesitate to ask.

To the Squires family, Pat, Anna, Ryan and yes to Spencer, to the Grandparents...and to all family & friends: Although we have never met, as I scrolled through the pictures and read the messages, I feel like I know you. What an awesome family you have and what an magnificent gift you have in each other. I told Michele all I know to do is pray. I don't have the words. But I am here to tell you that there is a Living God and He is on the throne today! He is the giver of Life! One of my favorite Words is in Isaiah: "Fear not, for I AM with you. Be not dismayed for I AM your God! I WILL strengthen you. I WILL help you! I WILL hold you up with the right hand of my righteouness!
I pray that you all find the a super natural peace, comfort and sweet joy in the bitter tears of Spencer's precious memory!
Romans 8:18 - For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Anna and Pat, when the path before you seems long and hard ... take heart; for God Almighty, Your heavenly Father will never, ever leave you!
My words are not sufficient but God's grace and mercy will keep you through this storm!
In Jesus Name I pray!

Our hearts are heavy and our prayers are with you and your family as you say goodbye to your first and special gift, Spencer. It is truly a reminder that children our gifts from God and it is his decision as to when they will join his team in heaven.
Having the opportunity to visit Spencer and the family last night highlighted for me the energy and hunger Spencer has for all things team; especially teams that start wth an "A" and end with an "M". I have litle doubt he will be more involved in the Aggie playbook this year than ever before.
God Bless

Spencer,
Since football is starting, I guess God has decided he wants #7 from the Chargers as his quarterback. I will miss coaching you on the football field, on the basketball court and on the baseball field. But most of all, I will miss your great smile, your energy, your enthusiasm and your great attitude. I don't remember you ever not being happy, and in that you have given me and all the others who care and love you a great lesson in life. God is your coach now and Heaven is your playing field, but I will never forget you and how you always loved to play the game, no matter what sport it was. Thank you for being such a good friend to Cooper and letting us and our family be a part of your wonderful life. God bless you.
