You have endured more than anyone should ever be asked and it is so unfair. I wish I could blow all your dark clouds away and envelope you in bright happiness and peace and remove all of your horrible pain. You, Spencer, Patrick and Ryan have been in my every thought and deepest prayers since I heard the news on Sunday. I have reached out to all that I know who prays and they have been and will continue to lift you up in prayer. Anna, you have always been an angel on earth to me with your sweet, giving and loving spirit. You have been Spencer's guardian angel and now he will be yours. He could not have had a more amazing Mommy and Daddy. Spencer was your special gift from God and never forget that you were Spencer's special gift from God as well. Heaven's little league team is getting a heckuva player. And an all around swell guy. Spencer was the player you could tell the other kids to watch and "do what Spencer does". Not just in playing the game but in how he conducted himself in life.

It's impossible to fathom your loss at this time. We all know our time here is limited. And we hope we can "make a difference" while we're here. At 42, I just hope I've made a fraction of the difference that Spencer did in quite a bit less time.

Some people don't believe in angels. It's hard to imagine God sending his chosen to mix an mingle with us for a limited time. Some of us are lucky enought to see them amongst us. Some of us don't realize we've had the honor until they are gone.

I consider myself lucky to have known an angel.

Our daughter received an emergency liver transplant two years ago that saved her life.
