Dear Squires Family,
I am a friend of Judy Gullikson and I have been struggling for the words to convey my heartfelt sympathy and empathy for your tragic loss. Our family had a similar loss less than two years ago. All I can tell you is that God can and will help you through this. When you need His peace and comfort ask for it even if it's at one minute intervals...He will answer. Dwell on the wonderful memories that you have of this special little man and he will live in your hearts until you are together again. God Bless you all.

I have struggled to sit and write this ever since Coach Handle came in and told me about what had happened to Spencer on Monday morning. Last Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday Spencer was in our football camp here at Berkner HS playing with his buddies out on the field just like all the other kids. Then to hear what had happened Sat just ripped my heart out. We don't know why God has chosen to take little Spencer from us, but I do know this. If there is football in heaven Spencer is playing it and having a great time. He enjoyed so much playing that game with his little buddies and they loved him. As I sit here with tears running down my cheeks I am proud to have known him even for such a short time. He has made an impact on me.
To Spencer's family, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Thanks for letting me be a small part of his life.

Praying that God's love and grace will somehow comfort you during this most difficult time in your lives. We can't even begin to imagine the hurt you are feeling right now. I have held my girls and loved on them more these last few days, trying not to take for granted the little things in life. Now, you have your little Aggie Angel in heaven & you will be Blessed!!! How wonderful for such a special boy to have such a special family. As a mother of two young girls, my heart reaches out to you. My heart is so heavy right now. I can't even begin to imagine what you proud parents must be going through. Me being a parent of two beautiful children, I can't even imagine. BUT me knowing that you guys believe in the ALL MIGHTY GOD!!!!!!! everything and anything is possible for those who have faith that everything will be alright. We all have a purpose in life and sometimes we aren't ready for our special little ones to be called home so soon. Our prayer is that God keeps your family in his hands for the rest of your lives. The Morton family will be in constant prayer for your family. God Bless and keep you. Just viewing Spencers photos, he seemed to be such a happy outgoing individual. What a blessing and a gift, to have been able to spend 6 1/2 years with such a beautiful child.

I didn't know Spencer but my aunt is a friend of John Butcher and sent me an email about Spencer and his website! I am currently at Texas A&M and just want you to know that Spencer will always be an Aggie in my eyes! It's so sad to see such a young life taken from us but we have to know that God has a reason and Purpose in everything that happens and we just have to trust in him! Spencer is in such a better place, heaven and our hearts!! Squire Family, you are in my prayers!
I've been having a hard time at school but I'm going to keep a picture of Spencer at my desk and from now on when I want to give up I'm going to remember him and do my best and finish school in his honor as a Fightin' Texas Aggie!! GIG'EM SPENCER!!

My son Gib was in Spencer's group this summer at Soccer Camp. Although we only spent time with him that short week, his zest for life, sports, and the Aggies was very evident. After camp, he eagerly meet his mom with a sweaty hug and news of the day. Everyday Anna came with two Sonic Cokes, one for Spencer and one for the Coach. It seems like a small thing to notice but to me it showed a mom committed to "show love" in even the simplest of ways. These small acts of kindness are what make our children feel special, valued, and loved. I know Spencer was loved tremendously and will be missed even more. My daily prayer for you and your family is God's grace to encompass you giving you a peace that only He can. God bless you and your precious family!
