We could all learn a lot from Spencer. He was a child wise beyond his years, who lived life to the fullest every single day. He gave all that he had to everything - his whole family, his friends, every sport you could ever think of to play, and school. He will always be in our hearts. We love you guys.

Anna and family,
We just heard of your terrible loss, and our hearts are breaking for you. When Abbie & Spencer were in the 3's class at CRCDS, he was always such a happy, vibrant little boy. And you were always such an amazing Mom.
I can't begin to imagine what you're going through. We lost my mother suddenly last month, and one scripture that has given me peace has been 2 Corinthians 12:8. "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Another is Isaiah 40:31. "Those that hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint."
We will be praying that God will bring you an endless well of love and support and strength in the coming weeks and months. And that he will bless you with wonderful "Spencer stories" from friends and family.
Grace and Peace,
John, D'Lyn, Abbie & Kaitlyn Biggs

A coworker of mine, Rod, just shared Spencer's story with me. My wife and I lost our two-year old son, Jonathan, back in 1991. While I didn't know Spencer, I do know that he was very loved and very fortunate to be a part of your family. That is why we're given the gift of children and the opportunity to have them in our lives. This website and the entries below are proof of the huge amount of love he knew in his short time here on earth. He knows you're hurting, but you need to know that he is not. Just know that he is safe and with Jesus in Heaven. That knowledge is what has allowed my wife and me to continue our journey even with such a huge part of us missing. I would love to talk to you as someone who's been where you are right now. I can't say that I know your pain, but I can say I know the pain you're going through right now. Please let Rod know if you're interested. God bless you and your family.

Dear Pat, Anna and Ryan,
Please accept our deepest condolences. We can’t begin to know how you feel, but it must be so difficult for you; we know that you are hurting. We are thinking about you, care about you and love you. Spencer is a wonderful boy and though the time we spent with him was short, it is clear how much Spencer and your family enrich the lives of those who have the good fortune to share time with you. Spencer is like sunlight, opening windows to souls and casting his warm light.

Dear Squire Family,
I'm expressing my deepest sympathy for this terrible loss of our family. I myself have never dealt with this kind of pain, no one in my family has ever passed away and I am very bewildered that it was my 6 year old cousin. Regardless, I loved Spencer so much and I considered him to be a great little cousin. I know that it must be very hard to come to grips with everything right now and I'm hoping you are being strong. I know you all are very strong people and can make it through this difficult time. I remember Spencer's drive for living and loving. Also, the amazing energy that came with him. I'll never forget that. Because I believe that energy, whatever kind of energy it is, can never be destroyed- i feel that Spencer's energy will live on. I love you all very much. Stay Strong! xoxo

The Outdoor Furniture
Pat wanted a place to watch his boys play. The very thought of the placement of the furniture was so very important in his mind for his kids. The furniture had to be right and safe for his boys. We need to have great seating but the walk way can never go away for his boys needed the path to play. Pat is such the planner
and had his boys were in his thoughts at all times. That outdoor furniture is now in the right place but we are missing one great little boy now. Spencer has a better seat with more room to play and will be with Jesus and blessed. I have had so many great clients in my career but people like Pat and Anna do not fall from trees they are thrown from God. Spencer was a joy to be around and loved his brother and parents so very much. Our missing Spencer is sad for us but what a blessing God is having right now. Few Dads will ever know the relationship a father and son had the way Pat and
Spencer had with each other. If we can bottle up the love, respect, kindness and blessings they held by each other we would make billions. Pats love for his boys and respect for his wife Anna was a joy for me to be a part of. God Bless our Spencer and his brother Ryan.

Anna, it was only 3 weeks ago that I met you for the first time and you were showing me pictures of Spencer in your wallet. I still remember driving back from Austin in the rain & hearing Spencer tell you to be careful driving in the big storm. Although our sons were in the same grade at Boon, my son did not have the privilege of meeting & playing with Spencer. I was so hoping that the boys would finally get to know each other in first grade because I could tell that Spencer was such a vibrant little soul from the way you described him. There is no doubt about how much he was loved by everyone.
My heart goes out to you and your family. We prayed and prayed for a miracle from God, but maybe God's plan was for Spencer to GIVE miracles to other children in need. My only consolation to this tragedy is that Spencer is in a better place and one day, you will see him again.
Now we are praying for God to give you and your family strength to get through this difficult time. Please lean on your friends and family. We can only imagine the extent of your pain and suffering, but know that we are here to help in any way.

May the Lord wrap His comforting arms around all of you. What a beautiful little boy. I've heard it said that these times make us stronger. Having gone through a similar situation with one of my daughters I know the only comfort is found in Him. When Melanie told me about this tragedy, she told me you were from Lockhart. My father, Auburn Neely, was the pastor at FUMC Lockhart 1956-1960. What a wonderful, loving community. Friends and family will see you through. Lean on them and lay your sorrows at God's feet. You are in my prayers.

Anna, Patrick, and Ryan,
I can not express the sorrow that I felt today when I received the news about your precious son. I can not even comprehend how you must feel. I just wept as I looked over the beautiful pictures that people have sent and the heartfelt compassion that so many people expressed was almost too much to take in. I've never seen such a web site done for someone like this but I think it is such a wonderful idea. You should be so pleased by how many people's lives that this one six year old boy touched.
You guys must be so overwhelmed right now but you truly must have thousands of people praying for you around the country and that is the only thing that I know to do at a time such as this.
I called my mother after I heard about Spencer and asked her what to say to someone whose lost the most precious thing in their life and she told me that it says in the Bible to bring these things before the throne of grace......."Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."-Hebrews 4:16
That is what we will do, continue to bring your family before the throne through our prayers.

I transferred to A&M from Baylor my sophmore year and went potluck with a roommate. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I would get a friend for life with Anna. When we talked about the future, Anna wanted a little girl to dress up in all the "bling" she liked back in the '80s. I kinda worried how things would go when that little girl turned out to be a beautiful, blue-eyed baby boy. Well, I shouldn't have been concerned at all. Spencer was so loved from the minute Anna and Patrick learned of his existence. Spencer didn't wear the "bling" but he was dressed head to toe in Aggiewear and was every inch the sharp dressed man. That was his mom's influence. After I had a baby boy myself, Anna gave me helpful hints on raising boys. It helped because Anna was very down-to-earth as a mother. She helped me not to be so overprotective over things. She said you have to give kids the room to explore so they can learn. The advice was taken, and it worked.
I think the two things I remember most about Spencer are when he was very young. Anna said they passed by a Sonic, and he yelled, "Tater tots!" I don't think he was two years old. Again, his mother's boy. The second memory that stands out in my mind is when I officially met Spencer at almost 3 years of age. He was pretending to be James Bond. I thought he had a wonderful imagination and was so full of life.
My heart has simply been crushed by the events of this past week. I can't talk about it without crying. I have asked for prayer for the Squire family as I shared the story with my friends and church in Houston. Everyone is sadly affected. My only point of comfort is that I know where Spencer is...up in Heaven, happy and healthy.
